Within
easy reach is the Peak District with its Dark and White Peaks, the spa town of
Buxton and the popular market town of Bakewell, famous for the original Bakewell
pudding.
Come rain, come shine, visitors to Barlow will have no problem in finding plenty
to do during their stay.
Historic Chesterfield market and Sheffield's giant Meadowhall shopping and
leisure complex are within easy reach, as are the Millennium Galleries in central Sheffield and the Magna Centre about a mile
from Meadowhall. Not to be missed is the metalwork exhibition at the Millennium
Gallery, a truly stunning display of Sheffield's world famous cutlery and
silverware. The Magna Centre is a gigantic indoor science and adventure park
guaranteed to keep children - and mum and dad - occupied for hours.
