Barlow Fishery can provide entertainment and hospitality for all types of groups ranging from children's birthday parties, hen parties to corporate team building events. This can be as relaxing or competitive as you like. Ideally, your group should consist of between ten and twenty people. However, if you fall just outside these limits, contact us and we may be able to accommodate you.
We can provide all the necessary equipment for either coarse or trout fishing, backed up by expert coaching by National Federation of Anglers' qualified staff.
Your visit will also include a tour of the trout hatchery and stock ponds together with a trip round the ornamental fish facilities.
Fly fishing for trout is popular with novice anglers because, generally speaking, it can be slightly more straightforward. There are no baits for the amateur to mess about with - artificial flies are the order of the day. The ladies in particular seem to enjoy this form of angling. The coarse lakes are probably slightly better if the visit is to be of a more competitive nature.
Catering can mean anything from a 'pay-as-you-go' visit to our snack bar to an elaborate buffet of your choice in a marquee. Obviously, we need a few weeks' notice to arrange marquee catering.
All types of fishing require a rod license and, as part of our package, a temporary group license will be included .
